Registration Marks

  • Customer supplied film positives require centerline registration marks < or = 0.1mm (.25 point) placed outside the printable area. See Figure 4.
  • Remove anything in the image area that is not to be printed on the disc label (i.e., FPO [For Position Only], inner and outer diameter ring) before outputting to film positives or before sending the electronic files to Imation.
  • The name or number of the ink color should be indicated on each customer supplied film positive.

Imation accepts a variety of artwork formats. Our pricing is based upon the customer supplying film positives prepared to the following Film Positive Specifications. However, we also accept the Other Artwork Formats listed. These formats require additional charges and may add time to your turnaround. Disc Label art should arrive 2 days prior to production date for spot color, and 5 days for 4-color process.
